FINE! Japanese vintage Kutani ware ceramic kiln Perfect tea set, pot, 4cups, waste-water-container SENCHA tableware Tea ceremony For GIFT.

This is a set of tea utensils for drinking Japanese "煎茶 sencha".
This pottery is called Kutani which is famous for its painting where you can feel the delicate brushwork of the artist and this type of painting that heavily uses red are called "赤絵 Akae". On every piece, gorgeous scenes of the Heian period (9th century) are depicted, including the lives of nobles, their buildings, and gardens. What's a little surprising is the goldfish painted on the bottom of the tea bowl that you can see from the swaying surface of the water when you pour tea. Traditional Japanese pottery rapidly industrialized from the 20th century, but it's this kind of playfulness from the craftsman that is also the interesting part of old Kutani ware.

The cup is rather small, comfortable in the hand, and beautifully shaped. The set also includes a pot and a cup for lowering the temperature of the water. There's a repair mark on the teapot handle in the shape of a gold ring, whether it cracked or broke, and it's become a rather nice accent.
