Fine Japanese antique porcelain sake pot old IMARI SOMETSUKE vintage tea pot tableware blue white H5.3×5.5×4.1in.
This pot was originally designed to hold Sake.
In Japan, they are also called 銚子"choshi". This one is old, so the base color is not pure white, but a dull, light bluish color. There are stains made during the firing process. Plants are blue hand painted on this piece.
For tea, I recommend using tea packs. It is ready to use.It is in good condition with no chips.
"IMARI" ware originated in China in the early 17th century.
"SOMETSUKE" is a porcelain painted with a pattern of indigo on a white background.

It is in very good condition, but there are small scratches and dirt due to aging.There are stains made during the firing process.The inside is also very clean and free of chips.
