囲碁 IGO is a board for playing the game of Go.
The woods used for the Go board are Abies sachalinensis, linden, ginkgo, and cypress.
To make a Go board, a tree must be over 100 years old, making it very valuable.
The set of the board is a high-class product. A special wooden lid for the board is also included. The thickness of the board is excellent and there is no major damage. The white color on the sides are rubbed marks of wax applied to protect the wood. There are some small scratches but very little use and in very good condition.
The white go stones are made of natural clam shells and the black ones are made of a natural stone called Nachiguro, because both are very thick and set in beautiful condition. The thicker they are, the more precious and valuable they are.
These clam go stones are very valuable and expensive for the go stones alone. The set includes 180 white stones and 181 black stones.
The wooden board and container for the Go stones are also beautifully grained and have a luxurious feel.
It is also recommended as a low side table.

condition...
In good condition, but there are some very minor scratches and dents on the board.
The go stones are handmade, so there are minute differences in thickness and shape.
I list antiques that sometimes have chips, rubbings and cracks
as they are very old antiques so please check the images and understand the current
condition before buying.
