BIG!!Japanese antique furniture wood signboard hand curved SUMURAI armor helmet DRAGON design Japanese vintage large wood 1910s H27.6×21.7in.

This is a signboard from Meiji period made in Nara. It is made of hand-carved wood. Until around the Edo period, many such wood-carved signs were made. They are unique in shape and come in a variety of types. Some of them are displayed in the Nara Town Museum.
This one, signboard for Samurai beer company, is very large and powerful, and has a cool aged atmosphere. This signboard is based on the motif of a samurai helmet. The face of a dragon is carved in the center, which is very impressive.
There are traces of repair at the corners of the helmet.
It is cool to decorate stores and other places, or even on the walls of your house.
