Japanese antique indigo blue porcelain small vase with Gold Kanji, sake bottle vase for shrine alter 1920s H5.1×2.3in,

In Japan, this is called 瓶子Heishi, and it was originally a vessel for offering sake to the gods at a Shinto shrine. This blue color was called lapis lazuli, and blue glaze was precious.
It is unique because it has Kanji characters written in gold and a picture pattern around its mouth.
In modern times, however, it is often used as a single flower vase. They are small in size and perfect for displaying wild flowers.
The simple shape with a neck is beautiful and will never get old.
This is the price for a single unit. This item is not sold as a pair, but we do have another of the same type in a similar size. If you want a pair, please contact us. All items are handmade, so shapes and sizes may vary slightly.
