Japanese vintage buddhist cast iron metal art Phoenixes, Clouds and Flowers design wall decoration metal openwork with stand H13.4in/H34cm.

This is a very beautiful wall decoration.
The design is inspired by a Buddhist altar ornament called a 華鬘Keman in the 　奈良Nara 正倉院Shosoin.
It features two phoenixes facing each other, with clouds below and a lotus-like flower design in the center. All are very beautifully carved in openwork.
This 華鬘Keman is an ornament to make a Buddhist altar solemn and majestic. Originally, the main hall of a temple is the embodiment of the solemnity of the Pure Land.
It has been made of various materials such as metal and stone.
The two birds in the center are called "迦陵頻伽Karyoubinga" and are said to reside in the Pure Land of Paradise.
They are famous for their beautiful voices, and legend has it that they never tire of singing.
It is made of cast iron and comes with a similar stand so it can be displayed immediately.
