The hammer marks are beautiful.  The signature of a craftsman is engraved on the bottom. After cutting the initial sheet to the appropriate size, the bottom is hammered in and the edges are raised. This is the first step before shaping with a hammer. Annealing softens the copper. Since copper hardens as it is processed, this process is repeated as necessary to create the final shape.  \u003cbr\u003eThe final shape is formed by repeatedly hammering and annealing.  \u003cbr\u003eAfter the initial sinking process, the craftsman uses different anvil stakes to raise the edges further and fold the outer edges inward to form the container shape.  \u003cbr\u003eThe entire surface is hammered with a mirror-finish hammer to remove irregularities and defects and add texture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition \u0026amp; Character: \u003cbr\u003eThere are some scratches on the outer body where it meets the lid (normally hidden when closed).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShipping: Fast, insured delivery via DHL, FedEx, or UPS.
